KP Soccer Dutch Tournament

The KPHS Boys Soccer Dutch Tournament is a once-a-week two hour competition for Grades 9-12 Fall of 24.

A Dutch Tournament is a small-sided (5v5 or 6v6) competition where teams are randomized each game. Games last for six to eight minutes. Then, new teams are randomly selected. For each goal that is scored and for a team win, each player on the team gets points. Points are recorded after each game.

- For each goal scored by a team, every player on that team receives 1 point.

- For each win, every player on that team receives 3 points.

- No points are awarded for a tie or a loss (goals scored in a tie or loss are counted).

Over the course of two hours, players can expect to play at least eight to ten small-sided games. Over the course of four weeks, the Dutch Tournament should include at least thirty-five small-sided games.

The Dutch Tournament comes from the tradition of Ajax football club and is considered the best way to determine who is the 'most impactful player' over the course of four weeks and forty games.

The Dutch Tournament Champion will be celebrated in song, on Twitter, earn swag and receive the KP Champions Cup! (Prizes for the runners-up will include swag, but no songs.)
